1st Annual Great Snow Fest~Teton Valley Idaho

This past week Teton Valley had it’s First Annual Great Snow Fest. It was a great week full of Snow Sculpting, Fat bikes, Skijoring and a snow ball. I had the honor to take photos of the snow sculpting throughout the week. It was amazing to watch the snow blocks turn in to a piece of art. Each one was creative and brought joy to many people. Over 1500 people voted for the peoples choice award. It was great to see so much activity in the valley. To get a block of snow they started of with boxes that are used for cement work. Slowly they are filed with snow. Once one layer of snow is dumped people climb in and start stomping.

The first place team were also first time snow sculptures. They created a whimsical dragon.

The second place team was inspired by the Christmas story. They were also first timers and created a creative piece.

Third place and also peoples choice award was a solo artist, Kevin Coughlan. His dancing bears brought many smiles to the valley.

Here’s a few more…

The Snow Fest was such a great thing to come to our valley! I really enjoyed all that it had to offer and I want to thank the great minds behind it. I know a lot of hard work went into the planning and it was a wonderful week. I’m already looking forward to next years, and may even be inspired to do a sclupture.
